Proud Mommy, Happy Mommy, lalala!
Proud Mommy moment today! For those of you who don't know, Lucas can sometimes be a picky eater. We would try to feed him meat mixed with vegetables (in an attempt to hide the meat, he doesn't really care much for anything other than chicken)! Today for lunch he ate Turkey breast without any issues! I gave him some ketchup & BBQ sauce as dippers, he enjoyed every last piece! It is an accomplishment seeing as how at Easter he would not touch any meat at all. It gets better, at dinner I was out of options because he eats the same things all of the time. I decided that PB&J may be worth a shot since he has been eating the little Plum Organics sammies. So I grabbed the potato bread, PB and Raspberry jelly and made the sandwich, I figured he would not eat it as a whole sandwich so I cut it in 4 pieces. He ate almost the whole sandwich! We got to the last 2 pieces & I had to take a bite & nibble out of each to get him to finish it. But I am so happy with my little peanut, he is getting better at expanding his pallet! So not only did I get him to eat a new meat, he also had his first sandwich. Maybe going out to eat wont be so hard anymore. Watch out Disney World, your buffets may meet their match!
So onto myself. Today I am doing well at eating better. It is a start, I had this delicious chocolate & strawberry cereal by Special K for breakfast (yummy!). Okay, I had a peanut butter cookie too (couldn't resist). Lunch I had the Turkey breast & bbq sauce (also yummy!). And for dinner, chocolate Slimfast shake (perfect for chocolate cravings). I also limited my snack intake, I had a piece of Smoked Horseradish cheese & Lebanon bologna, and a Nutrigrain fruit crunch granola bar! I upped my water intake to keep myself full with water. I'm trying! We will see how it goes for about a week or two before I decide on the next course of action. Side note: I am going out for dinner tomorrow & heading down the shore on Friday, so I can not promise I wont go nuts on all types of crazy carnival type food! Pizza, Curly fries, ice cream sundaes, Maui-Dogs, the whole 9 yards! Vacation is always an exception to the rule!
So I've been watching 'Dawson's Creek' on Netflix. I'm on season 1, episode 10. I really like it so far, some episodes are a little slow, but I'm sure it gets better, right? Dawson was with Jenn, Jenn dumped him. Joey likes Dawson, Dawson is still liking Jenn. Pacey was with his teacher, the teacher leaves town. Pacey now likes Joey....oy! This is going to be a love square! Must keep watching, only 6 seasons.
