Cinco de Mayo!

Happy May 5th! I'm tired, long day.

-Woke up & had some Shoo-Fly Pie for breakfast (yummy calories).
-Got ready for a day trip to Seaside Heights
-Picked up mom & headed down the shore
-An hour and a half to get to Seaside, we stayed for an hour. It is sad, there is not much going on down there right now. The boardwalk is getting there, but the piers will not be ready for a long time. They are saying they will have Casino Pier running this summer. I say 2014. On the way home from Seaside we stopped at White Castle!! Hell yeah!! I only get White Castle once, maybe twice a year if I am lucky.
-Headed back to Philly (felt like it took forever). We stopped at Roger Wilco for some much needed Cinco de Mayo supplies! Gold Tequilla & a bottle of Jose Cuervo skinny margarita mix. I also picked up a $3 bottle of Blackberry Brandy for the next Mummer event!
-Dropped off mom & headed to CVS. Used coupons & saved myself major money on top of the sale prices! I LOVE coupons!!
-Got home & we fed Lucas, crazy kid fed the floor, Clorox wipes to the rescue for the floor & booster seat!
-Jim made some quesadillas & home made tortilla chips that he baked for me since I wanted a snack a little while ago. He also made me a margarita when I finally made it out of Lucas's room alive!

So in getting Lucas ready for bed I decided to climb in his crib and lay down with him. I was curious to see how his night time routine went. I lay down & pretend to sleep, he went along with it. Lucas continued to play as he normally would had I not been there, I had stuffed animals chucked at my head, legs, arms, etc.. He climbed over & around me, flipped, flopped, kicked, tackled, etc... He kept giving me kisses as I "slept". He is such a little love bug! He bit my 2nd toe (really hard). Then Lucas realized I had a tattoo on my ankle & started trying to grab at it! That is when I gave up, it had been over an hour & his crib mattress was hurting me! I loved laying with him in his crib to see what his bedtime is like since I don't get to see it, I only hear it through the monitor. It makes A LOT of sense now why his crib always looks like an animal crime scene!

Now I am sitting here drinking the rest of my margarita & I already feel like passing out, it's not even 10pm! I am exhausted, UGH. Trying to listen to Celebrity Apprentice, nothing else to watch at this time on Sunday's!

12 days till vacation! I will update on Seaside tomorrow after another long day! Zoo tomorrow with Ashley.

2020....in a nutshell....

2020 has been.....yeah....I can only sum it up with "What The Hell?!" January - Started with a great NYE & parade. I saw what should have been the first of many concerts for the year. Work returned to normal, post holiday saneness. February - Work & kids, repeat... March - Where sh*t hit the fan! The last of the normal we once knew. The week of St. Paddy's day was the last thing we did as groups before social distancing and what not took hold. 8 months later, not much has changed. Covid is still here, I had it back in November and it sucked. I had to miss Liam's birthday because I was in isolation. I also missed Thanksgiving. I don't wish it on my enemy.  We have our president-elect Joe Biden, and the first female vice president-elect Kamala Harris. Change is nice. I took on a full time position at work which was a great opportunity for me. I enjoy working, and I like the change of scenery of being in a different mall.  Life is still moving along. Going through divorce is a very time consuming process, getting responses from email takes forever. It's already been a month since I mailed the documents. The boys are still virtual learning. This is the first week back after winter break. Lucas is still an A+ student. I don't know where he gets it from! Must have skipped a generation. Winter break was nice for the boys. We went to Six Flags and got to enjoy very little crowds. Now we wait for the new season! Lucas...

What happens when years go by...

Life is Hard.... ...work has had me working my ass off the last few weeks. I put in 56 hours 2 weeks ago. The holiday season has me stressed at work. I need harder workers and people who actually want to come to work. ...the kids have me on my toes on the daily. Lucas and his ADHD/ODD is hard as shit to deal with. He gets me so stressed. I try my hardest, I really do. I sometimes wonder where I went wrong. ...relationships take work, I get that....but sometimes I have my doubts... ...I am happiest when I am at concerts and I get the chance to unwind and enjoy myself in my element.  ...Jennifer is my best friend, we go to every concert together. We can tell each other everything. ...my family is holding itself together still. It's been extremely hard since my Pop-Pop passed away in April 2018, things still have not been the same since.
