Pregnancy update....32.4 weeks!
Things are going great. Liam has a strong heartbeat, moving around like crazy, and we only have about 7-8 weeks to go! We are almost there.
I had my first bi-weekly appointment the other day & had an ultrasound done, Liam is measuring about 1-2 weeks smaller than he should be, however, the doctor did say it is a possibility her measurements are off because he is partially breech. So that makes me a bit anxious, he only has about 90 degrees to turn so that is better than full breech. 15% of babies at this stage are still breech & only 3% are delivered breech via c-section. So the odds are in my favor that he will get with the program and turn before it is too late.
I am scheduled for a growth scan ultrasound in 2 weeks & my next appointment is also in 2 weeks; one is Tuesday, one is Wednesday. I will have ultrasounds at both appointments with the Wednesday appointment being a lot more accurate since it is with maternal fetal medicine. Hopefully Liam will have moved by that point but if he doesn't the doctor will take the next steps to decide what we should do. We can try something called an external cephalic version, fancy words meaning they turn the baby from the outside in the hospital. It comes with some risks such as fetal distress leading to an emergency c-section or it could go well & the baby turns head down with no issue, but it could also just not work. I was reading that they try that method between 37-38 weeks so only about 4 weeks away which could possibly result in a October baby. Right now I am just going to play it by ear & hope he turns himself!
Lucas is doing well, he will be 3 in a little over 3 weeks! Our 4 year anniversary is also 3 weeks (from yesterday) away. Where does the time go?!
