Weekend
So it's Saturday, December 11th! What does that mean? Well, it is 3 weeks till the 2O11 Mummers Parade, of course!!! I am excited to be doing something completely different this year as a Fancy. When I started parading on Jan 1, 2004, I was 16 and I was in Irish American String band. So, this is going to be my 8th parade; crazy! It is still a little sad that I wont be parading in the string bands any longer, but for now, that chapter of my life has been closed. I'd like to think that it is definitely for the better.
Anyways, on an even better note, Christmas is now only 2 weeks away!! I still haven't finished shopping yet. The only good thing is that I know exactly where I have to go, and what I have to get. I may run to CVS today so I can print the pictures that I need for my mom-mom & pop-pop's gifts. I bought them frames from Exclusive Weddings that hold two photos, one that is supposed to be of me and them from when I was little, and then one from the wedding day. Well, I have my mom-mom's all taken care of, I know which pictures I am using....however, my pop-pop's is a little more difficult, I have next to no pictures of the two of us from my childhood, and no one can figure out how that is possible. The thing that sucks is that the only place that there is something with us together is in a home video from Christmas, 1992....what good that will do me, the only thing I could even think of was to turn on the VHS and FF to the part of us sitting together on the steps in my house and take a picture of it on the screen. It really makes no sense how there are no pictures of us, or any of us grandchildren for that matter. I have 2 weeks to figure this problem out. As for other people on my gift list. My parents are taken care of, I just have to collect the money from Katie & Been and go pick up their gift. Katie is getting a gift card to Panera Bread to go along with her other 2 gifts. Been is getting one more thing, a cover for his Kindle. My nephews, goddaughter & her new brother are all done. Thankfully, I don't have anyone else to buy for! I hate Christmas when I'm next to broke. Tis the season...and the economy. I really need to do some more job searching....and Sally Mae really needs to stop calling me 5x a day.
Ah! So we decorated and everything for Christmas, and I am really thankful we have a fake tree. BECAUSE LILY CAN NOT STOP CHEWING ON THE BRANCHES!!! Someone give me a NORMAL cat, PLEASE!!
